This is a taunt deck and a personal favorite of mine. You want your opponents to attack you. This is achieved by bribing them with treasures or the monarch, or just plain forcing them to attack you. When they do, you get a lot of value by making a 3/3 for each creature they attack you with. There is a ton of protection and control that you might not expect from a mono-red deck.
